ABSTRACT
We report three-dimensional (3D) multiporous Graphene Aerogel (GA) and Graphene/Ag Aerogel (GA/Ag), prepared via in situ reduced and self-assembly by gamma-ray irradiation, which has excellent performance and potential application value, as a new type of iodine adsorption material. Based on the honeycomb porous structure formed by graphene/silver aerogel (GA/Ag), Ag nanoparticles (NPs) are uniformly fixed on the graphene nanosheets and maintain a typical diameter of 30-70 nm. In the presence of an I-2 (g) saturated environment, the adsorption capacity of the graphene based adsorbent for iodine was tested. The results showed that the adsorbent prepared through experiments displayed impressive iodine adsorption performance with graphene aerogel samples.
